It is with deep sorrow that we share news of the passing of one of our TLHA neighbors, Mrs. Carol Scholl. Carol fought a long and courageous battle with illness but died peacefully on Tuesday, July 11th, surrounded by family. Carol could often be seen taking walks through Twin Lakes with her husband John or daughter Michelle and their beloved dog Noodles. She was diligent about caring for her landscaping, and even under the heat of the summer sun would spend many hours out in the yard attending to flowers, shrubs and trees. All of us on the TLHA Board extend our sincere condolences to John, Michelle and all of Carol’s family and friends.

CAROL E. SCHOLL Carol Esther Virginia (Brown) Scholl, 78, passed away peacefully July 11, 2017, at her home in Kearney, MO, with family at her side.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, and a service celebrating Carol’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, all at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty, MO. A light lunch with the family will be served at the funeral home following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Children’s Mercy Hospital in memory of Carol Scholl, 2401 Gillham Road, Kansas City, MO 64108.
Carol was born April 12, 1939, in Auburn, NY, the second of six children of Frank and Mary (Mathews) Brown. Along with her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her brother, Joe Brown. Carol received her nursing degree from Penn Valley Community College in Kansas City. Her career as a Registered Nurse spanned 38 years, most recently at North Kansas City Hospital. She also served as a foster parent for 35 years.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, John; children, Matthew Scholl (Lisa), Michele Scholl, John Scholl (Natalie) and Mark Scholl; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jennifer, Taylor, Emily, Emma, Charlie, Jorge, Julius and Louis; siblings, Tom Brown, Janette Seamans, Margie Day and Larry Brown, as well as many nieces, nephews and their families.
